What training with us looks like

Overview video goes here

Luke walks through who the block suits, how the gym and run coaching fit together each week, and what happens between your application and race day.

Pick your distance

The full marathon group starts four weeks earlier, then everyone trains together as one cohort from mid-December through to race day.

5 km12 weeks
Starts Monday 14 December

No running experience needed. The most approachable goal on the course, whether you're brand new to running, returning after time off, or chasing a faster parkrun time.

10 km12 weeks
Starts Monday 14 December

Also open to complete beginners who want a bigger first goal, or runners coming back after time off, with strength work built in to keep you moving well.

21.1 km12 weeks
Starts Monday 14 December

Suits anyone who can already run 5 km continuously and wants a structured build to their first or fastest half marathon.

42.2 km16 weeks
Starts Monday 16 November

For runners with an established base, such as a completed half marathon or comfortable 60 to 90 minute runs. Sixteen weeks isn't enough to build a marathon from scratch, so we'll confirm fit on your call.

Everything you need to reach the start line ready

Your run program and gym sessions are written together, so your strength work supports your running week instead of competing with it.

Luke Murfitt, who has spent 10 years coaching runners and triathletes, leads your strength work and testing, with Coach Riley writing your run program.

"The knowledge and support received from Luke over the 18 weeks in the lead up to my run was second to none."

Before you apply

I'm not sure which distance suits me. Can I still apply?

Yes. Tell us where your running is at and we'll recommend a distance on your call. Most first-timers start with the 5 km or 10 km.

Do I need to buy my own race entry?

Yes. Entries are purchased through the event, and we'll ask you to confirm yours before your block starts.

I'm already an Evolve member. Can I join?

Absolutely. Current members can join the block on the same terms and get first access to spots.

What happens over Christmas?

Your program is adjusted around the studio's holiday closures, with sessions you can complete at home or on the road.

What happens after race day?

About 10 days later you'll retest and sit down with your coach to review your results and set your next goal.
